Tour France Track Week
The F.I.S.C. Legendary Circuits motor racing series will organize its first Tour France Track Week in the summer of 2010. Being the first motor sport series based on the most legendary GP circuits, which still remain, their track week will be organized along the same high quality standards. The advantage of a Tour France Track Week will be obvious. Now circuits can be visited that normally would be out of reach. Another advantage is the unrestricted track time against restricted travelling time and costs.
The Tour France Track Week will be run with an open pit lane enabling unrestricted access to the track. Numbers are strictly limited, so there is always plenty of space on the track.
Although racing is officially prohibited, Tour France Track Week however still has a competitive edge.
‘Racing standards’ are of an exceptionally high standard, where inappropriate driving behavior will be dealt with in the strictest possible manner. Of course overtaking is allowed on either side (you keep your line and let the overtaking car pass). There are no noise restrictions on the circuits.
Expert coaching will be available for the less experienced driver.
Attitude and consideration towards fellow drivers are far more important than the type of car you drive. Whether modern or historic, there is a genuine appreciation of great sports cars and a mutual belief in using these cars as they were intended.

People bringing motorhomes are invited to camp in the paddock overnight and make use of the excellent hospitality and catering facilities, where a friendly, sociable and relaxed atmosphere prevails and breakfast, lunch and dinner including complimentary wines, beer and light refreshments will be served free of charge.
The travelling days, from one circuit to another, are an excellent opportunity to enjoy the scenery with your travel companions, visit one of the many castles or museums in the area, enjoy lunch on a romantic terrace, buy your wines in a local cellar, or just do what else comes to mind.

What a wonderful event, coming up next summer. This is almost too good to be true!! Please put me on the list! I am currently rebuilding engine (the R8Gordini unit) and fitting the 5-speed R8G gearbox to my 1964 Renault Dauphine Gordini. A home-coming to the south of France next summer is the perfect teaser. The car “La Petite Bombe” was brought to Stavanger, Norway in 2001, following startling appearance at Goodwood Revival 1999 (St. Mary’s Trophy in the wet) and was featured in article “Anything goes” in Classic Cars June 2000, along with the massive Ford Falcon. Front and rear suspension have since been modified by Swedish Renault magician Arne Berg. The overall aim is to be fun, fast and Finlandia blue charming!
Pieter, This sounds very interesting. I take it the circuits you are thinking about are not the ones FISC would normally visit? I would love to drive the likes of Ledenon, Ricard, Le Castellet. Can you give us an indication of which ones may be included?
Thanks
Richard
