Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique

The Reims event is being organised by Reims Champagne Véhicule Historique Sportif
The 13th Historic Monte Carlo Rally will run from January 28 to February 3, 2010, just one week after the modern and 78th Monte-Carlo Rally.
In accordance with regulations drawn up by the Automobile Club of Monaco “cars may be admitted which comply with road legislation and of which a similar model took part in a Monte Carlo Rally between 1955 and 1977″.
Cars will be started in ascending order of the start numbers. Drivers of the pre ’66 cars and the smaller cars under 1300 ccm3 will be handed the advantage of a lower average speed, should they wish. Timing on the contrary will be dealt with in a highly sophisticated way, using modern GPS timing technology.
The towns of departure have been allocated following the order of receipt of all entry forms. Some towns may accept only a limited number of entrants, which makes it necessary, for the teams, to list two towns and in order of preference.
Drivers and co-drivers must hold valid competition- or regularity licences, regardless of grade. For those with no licence, the Automobile Club de Monaco can deliver a temporary FIA regularity rally driving permit, valid only for the period of this event.
Since the event was created, the city of Reims has been one of the cities from which the Monte Carlo Historic Rally departs on its “concentration leg”. This year, 90 drivers from throughout Europe will be lining up for the Reims-Saint Etienne concentration leg behind the wheels of cars with great heritage. The Reims event is being organised by Reims Champagne Véhicule Historique Sportif in partnership with the City of Reims.
