Jersey International Motoring Festival

The Jersey International Motoring Festival comprising competitive hill climbs and sprint events for vintage cars and motorcycles.
The Jersey International Motoring Festival is the largest annual motoring event in the Channel Islands and will be organized in the weekend of Friday 4th to Sunday 6th June 2010.
There is a full programme of events comprising competitive hill climbs and sprint events for classic & vintage cars and motorcycles. Also the largest static motor show in the Channel Islands featuring motor and ancillary trade stands and exhibits from all Jersey motoring clubs.
The essence of the weekend is to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and there are opportunities for car and motorcycle enthusiasts to use and display their ‘pride and joy’ whether this be a veteran, vintage or classic, touring or competition car or motorcycle.
The event is run by the Classic & Vintage Motor Racing Club of Jersey and is open to participants in two main ways. A Touring section, which is open to all cars and motorcycles and all drivers holding the relevant road licenses and insurance. There can’t be a better way to see the Island of Jersey than from the seat of your (modern) classic. The Hill Climbs and Sprint Events offer you the chance to put your classic vehicle through its paces. Cars manufactured prior to 1975 are eligible along with motorcycles prior to 1979. Racers must of course hold the appropriate racing licenses.
The island of Jersey has sophisticated seaside hotels and great-value guest houses. The ambiance is a bit of all, a dash of continental Europe and a splash of Britain. You’ll find cosmopolitan city life, leafy country lanes, traditional beach cafés and trendy restaurants. Fabulous seafood and fields full of Jersey cows. The island of Jersey is easily accessible both from Brittany or Normandy and can be as easy on the wallet as you want, especially since you’ll be paying in pounds.
