The Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix will celebrate Alfa Romeo and their Owners throughout Europe.

The 5^th Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix, of which HRH Prince Joachim is the patron, will be roaring through the streets and around Fælledparken, the major park in the city centre of Copenhagen, 6-8 August 2010.

This year the Copenhagen weekend will focus on the 100^th anniversary of Alfa Romeo, one of motor sports true legends. A highlight of the Historic Grand Prix will be the official Danish launch of the new Alfa Romeo Giulietta. In collaboration with the Danish Alfa Romeo importer, the Alfa Romeo Klub Danmark and Historisk Motor Sport Danmark, the Copenhagen Grand prix will demonstrate some of the most noteworthy Alfa Romeo machinery and designs. Of course the presentation will focus on historic Alfa Romeos, Alfas from the early 30s, where Alfa and Enzo Ferrari dominated Grand Prix racing, and from the 40s, 50s and 60s, either racing in the park or on public display. The Alfa Romeo Owners’ Club has assisted to locate classic Alfa Romeo owners throughout Europe and many of them have agreed to participate in this Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix.

The Royal ProAm, where professional motor racing stars and multi Le Mans winner(-s) Tom Kristensen (DK), Jackie Oliver (GB),  Jan Lammers (NL) and Gijs van Lennep (NL) will share cars with their amateur owners will be another highlight.  The latter two will also star in their beautifully prepared Porsche Spyder 550-1500 RS from 1955.

Just outside the gates, in the Classic Car Park of the Historic Copenhagen Grand prix, a classic road car show will be put on display comprising of more than 600 classics. This to underline the growing interest for classic cars and historic motorsport in Denmark. All profits generated from this event will be dedicated to the development of young Danish motor sport talents.
