The Croatian Crawl is a holiday with a difference! The aim of the Croatian Crawl is to provide an unusual leisurely classic car sight-seeing holiday for people who do not wish to stress either machinery or passengers. There is absolutely no competition, apart from getting to the hotel bar first.

Plenty of opportunities for retail therapy or just simply chilling out by the hotel pool. Any car with a cruising speed of 45mph or above is suitable to take part.

Cars and crews are transported across Europe by overnight Motorail from Düsseldorf (GER) to Villach in Austria.

The route takes you via Slovenia onto the Istria Peninsula,  and then via the islands of Cres and Losinj to the Dalmatian Coast and on to the mountains along the Bosnian border, with brief sorties to the coast down some amazing passes before following the coastline to Ljubjana. This is the last night halt before boarding the train return to Düsseldorf.

Spectacular scenery, first-class hotels (mostly two night halts), stunning mountain passes, low daily mileages and quiet roads are all featured during the tour, with the emphasis on plenty of time to relax and sightsee. The total tour mileage from Düsseldorf, is around 1,400 miles.

Roads in Croatia are generally good, and some of the main ones are superb. The country is catching up with the 21st century fast, so now’s the time to enjoy it and exercise your car on unspoilt quiet roads before modern times arrive.
