The Ruta del Vino is about cars, amazing landscapes and of course Spanish wines.

The Ruta del Vino Tour, offered by STS, will enable you to enjoy your classic car in the best company and the Ruta del Vino will give you the opportunity to drive your classic car along roads through the most amazing landscapes in the Rioja and Ribera del Duero region, visiting monumental cities, a wide variety of entertainment venues and enjoying Spain’s most charming hotels, restaurants and exquisite cuisines.

The STS company name comes from the book “Spain in a two-seater” and was written by the English author Halford Ross in 1925. Ross chronicles his journey across Spain in a Cubitt motor car during the summer of 1924.

The Cubitt Company was a construction company in England who built much of Central London including Buckingham Palace. In 1920, the Cubitt Company decided to start building motor cars in Aylesbury (just outside London), but was declared bankrupt already in 1925, after manufacturing approx. 4,000 cars of varying body styles. It is believed that only 5 Cubitt motor cars in the world are still in running order.

With the car and the book in mind, STS was created with the purpose of presenting you with the “art of touring”, offering you unique and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, while enjoying your classic car, emulating the adventurous spirit of Halford Ross.

The Ruta del Vino Tour is designed for all types of classic cars capable of reaching and keeping a speed of at least 90 km (56 mph). With the oldest vehicles in mind, the daily starting line will position the slowest vehicles up front. Thanks to the Tour’s sightseeing nature, there are plenty of gathering points to allow the driver to enjoy the route at his own pace without being rushed. The Ruta del Vino provides a once-in-a-lifetime holiday experience in the Spanish regions best known for their wine quality.
