LM Story

LM Story is a perfect opportunity to showcase the new F.I.S.C. Legendary Circuits racing grid format, now including two seater production road sports cars w/o any make or model preference.
LM Story , with its upcoming 5th edition this weekend, has already grown into a tradition. The LM Story 2011 event, contrary to Le Mans Classic, is much more of a convivial event.
Although the main event will consist of 9 different grids fighting for LM Story 2011 honours, there also is a big involvement of the French motor clubs, which can be found in the Club Village P12. And many of the club cars are invited to take part in the many parades on the Saturday.
To underline the motor racing heritage of the Le Mans circuit, A.C.O. has organized demonstration runs with historic Le Mans 24H LM P2 cars on the Le Mans – Bugatti circuit. Present prototypes being a direct derivative of the historic Protos 2 litres cars, which will have their own grid during the weekend, containing different authentic Le Mans 24H cars.
Of course the Jaguar E-Type will be celebrating its 50th anniversary at LM Story 2011, after all the E-Type is a production road sports car and a derivative of the Jaguar D-Type racing cars, winning Le Mans 24H in 1955, 1956 ánd 1957. The E-Type, which has grown into a motor industry icon through the 50 years of its existence, will be celebrated by a Jaguar regularity run in which all of the straight 6 and V12 models will show.
From all over Europe, the car collectors and competitors will converge at Le Mans – Bugatti, where A.C.O. will skilfully mix racing grids with demonstration runs. Other demonstration runs at LM Story 2011 will involve authentic prototypes, which have raced in the 24H event, such as Matra, Rondeau, Inaltéra, Porsche, Courage, Pescarolo and French road sports.
The racing programme will show some interesting French grids, with the exception of the F.I.S.C. Legendary Circuits grid, which will be returning to the Le Mans circuit after nine years. Contrary to their former Austin Healey Sprite and MG Midget grid, F.I.S.C. will now present their new racing grid format, consisting of two seater production road sports cars under two litres and up to and including 1971. Saying that, one has to add, that basically anything that matches the speed and the ambiance of the grid, which includes bigger and/or later period cars, is welcome.
