The first of this year’s Goodwood Breakfast meetings got off to lively start on Sunday 7 March 2010, with ‘Tax free’ Sunday for all pre 1973 classics.

The owners and enthusiasts of a huge variety of motoring cars took to the picturesque West Sussex roads for an enjoyable Sunday morning drive, before displaying their machinery at the legendary Goodwood Motor Circuit. The only taxing issue of the day was choosing what to have for breakfast. Many visitors enjoyed a hearty breakfast, made with Goodwood’s delicious home-reared organic ingredients.

Apart from the various Lotus cars, Morgans, Ford Mustangs and Italian exotics, one could also enjoy a special Goodwood display of interesting small cars. Some visitors took advantage to slowly tour the Goodwood circuit by tractor and trailer.

Most Goodwood Breakfast Club meetings are held on the first Sunday of the month, with the next event, on 4 April, set to attract a wealth of family favourite saloons and estates, from the Ford Cortina and Morris Minor, to the more recent Ford Sierra Cosworth and pioneering Renault Espace.

A full list of the remaining 2010 Goodwood Breakfast Club dates and themes is as given below. All Breakfast Club meetings are free to attend, and will be staged from 08:30hrs to midday. Goodwood is encouraging Breakfast Club visitors to pre-register their intention to visit the monthly event to gauge numbers, vehicle types, and so on, by visiting their website.

By pre-registering on the website, all visitors will also have the opportunity to win a flight in Goodwood’s own Harvard historic war bird during the popular Goodwood Revival.

Following a successful December Breakfast Club meeting last year, this Festive end-of-year meet will now form a regular part of the Goodwood calendar, and will include a Christmas market full of stalls selling authentic and appealing gifts.
