It all started on public roads, similar to the Targa Florio, Reims, Rouen-les-Essarts and many other races from that period, but from 1927, the ADAC Eifelrennen was the first race event to be organized on the legendary Nürburgring race track.

A Bugatti Type 22 Brescia Roadster from 1925 was recently fished out of the Italian Lake Maggiore and was on auction at Retromobile in Paris last week.
Bidding at Bonhams auction started at a price of 95,000 euros, but the Bugatti Type 22 fetched a respectable price of 260,500 euros in the end.
