Despite very limited track time in the HSCC Silverstone International Trophy, HSCC reported to have handled their biggest grids ever with qualifying for the Road Sports grid having over sixty cars on track.

The first annual Donington Historic Festival, is a major new event on the historic racing calendar, only bringing top-level entertainment and more than 300 world-class historic racing cars competing flat-out all the way.

The highlight of the weekend was the FIA Historic Formula One covering a 20-year period of F1 motor racing between 1966 – 85 and re-creating the spectacle of the legendary 3 litre Formula 1 era.

Nogaro, situated in the south west of France near the Pyrenees was predominantly a F2 track, but also a trusted F1 test track.

The Historic Sports Car Club (HSCC) was created in 1966 by a small group of enthusiasts, notably Betty Haig and Guy Griffiths, who were frustrated by the lack of races for older sports cars.
