The Classics at the Castle event aires a bit of philosophy, that not everyone’s idea of a perfect Porsche is a new one ánd not everyone’s idea of a ‘classic’ Porsche is a perfect one.

With Alfa Romeo 100, Formula One 60, Carrera Panamericana 60 and RAC Rally 50, the Goodwood Festival of Speed will be celebrating many anniversaries this year.

Alfa Romeo has focussed on both high-end sports and F1 cars as well as affordable road cars, making Alfa accessible to the world. Therefore the famed Italian car maker’s 100th anniversary will be celebrated the world over.

It all started on public roads, similar to the Targa Florio, Reims, Rouen-les-Essarts and many other races from that period, but from 1927, the ADAC Eifelrennen was the first race event to be organized on the legendary Nürburgring race track.
