The spectrum of the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix ranges from pre-war racing cars to youngtimers, including the most spectacular DTM cars until 1981.

It all started on public roads, similar to the Targa Florio, Reims, Rouen-les-Essarts and many other races from that period, but from 1927, the ADAC Eifelrennen was the first race event to be organized on the legendary Nürburgring race track.
