U2TC Historic Motor Racing News
U2TC Historic Motor Racing News is a series for pre-1966 under two litre Touring Cars, that was started only three years ago, but has gone from strength to strength since.
The U2TC Historic Motor Racing News is an invitation series, races at possibly the best meetings in Europe and cars are expected to conform strictly to the highest standards of FIA Appendix K regulations. Race format is a one hour race for two drivers, of which the owner of the car must do at least 50% of the race time.
This series is about driving fast in nice cars, where drivers must respect the 3C rule i.e. No Crashing – No Cheating – No Complaining.
For 2010 the organizers of the U2TC Historic Motor Racing News have confirmed that they will end their 2010 season at the new Algarve Motorpark Circuit near Portimão in southern Portugal, where they will join the Algarve Historic Festival, which was organized for the first time in October 2009. Despite its distance for most drivers, this event was judged to be a success, with 30-degree holiday temperatures, nice hotels supplied by the organizers, and a circuit with which drivers instantly fell in love.
Series organizer Carol Spagg said: “We are pleased to have been able to devise an attractive 2010 schedule for our drivers. With a six race programme at some of the very best historic meetings and circuits in Europe, an end of season racing holiday in the Algarve should cap the year nicely for all the teams”.
Other races for U2TC Historic Motor Racing News are the Historic Zandvoort Trophy in May, Monza Coppa Intereuropa in June, Dijon Prenois Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or in June, Silverstone Classic in July, Spa Francorchamps Six Hours in September and the Algarve Historic Festival in October.> U2TC Historic Motor Racing News (official website) > U2TC Historic Motor Racing News (youtube) > U2TC Historic Motor Racing News (photo gallery)
